A Vampyre Story by Autumn Moon Entertainment has an impressive visual style. Fun character design and rich backgrounds. It was released at the tail end of 2008 and has an impressive pedigree.

It’s unfortunate that while beautiful, the main character, Mona De Lafitte, has one of the most annoying voices ever given to a game character. Since the game revolves around her talking about everything you click on, I unfortunately will not be playing the game. I also find her bat companion quite grating as well.

I was quite excited about this game as I had been keeping an eye on the screen captures and concept art as it became public. I finally got my hands on the demo and while the point and click adventurist in me was satisfied by the art and the task of scrutinizing every resource available, I was horrified by the voice acting. Take a look, but cover your ears! With that said, I hope this game does well enough for them to try something else!
